About The Builder
Hi, I'm Ken Loomis and I have been in the construction industry all my life. I started as an electrician's helper when I was fourteen years old. I worked weekends, holidays, and summers. I had my first journeymans' license in Clearwater, FL when I was a junior in high school. My true passion, even then, is to design and build homes, not just wire them. With that passion I took some engineering courses when I attended the University of South Florida, and later qualified to take the Class "A" license in the State of Florida. Since then I worked for a number of companies in the U.S. and acquired a vast amount of knowledge in residential, commercial, and industrial construction. I now hold a license in Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee.
The Great Smoky Mountains and the area around it has always had my heart. I moved my family to this area in 1988 and have been conducting Ken Loomis Construction ever since. We are a small family operated business that takes pride in what we do. I know all the other home builders say the same and I hope they do take pride in their work, but I can proudly and truly say that the people I have built for always become dear friends.
You will not get lip service from me. If you tell me you have a budget, I will be honest and tell you what can be built within that budget. I do not believe in blowing smoke, I will always be honest, research answers if I don't know them, and own up to any mistakes made and fix them.
Along with being a builder, I love playing golf and writing music, so if we don't build for you maybe a round of golf or a jam session. We know we wont be the builder for everyone, but we sure hope your one we do build for....
